Gov. Bill Haslam on Wednesday signed into law a controversial bill that allows counselors to refuse patients on the grounds of religious or personal beliefs, a move critics say is discriminatory against LGBT people.

After a botched round of testings, Knox County Schools has cancelled its contract Measurement, Inc., the company it tasked with administering its TNReady assessments. The school system also just pulled chicken from its lunch menu over a recall “due to contamination by metal and wood.”
