Rhythm N Blooms 2016: Secret Shows

In The Daily Dumpster Blog by Clay Dudaleave a COMMENT

Throughout the weekend at Rhythm N Blooms a revolving cast of bands shuffled into the cramped quarters of Lox Salon on Jackson Avenue to play a series of secret shows and make a few guest cameos. (Full disclosure: My wife is a hairstylist at Lox) Acts ranged from a low-key acoustic set by Black Lillies frontman Cruz Contreras to the screeching guitar solos of Andy Woods–with plenty in between. The appearances, announced just a half hour ahead of showtime via the Rhythm N Blooms Instagram account, offered a much more intimate (although often crowded) musical experience.

We couldn’t catch all of the secret shows, of course, but here are some of our favorite photos from the performances we could sneak in. Be sure to check out the full gallery of Rhythm N Blooms photos as well.
